Nikola versus Shiloh

Next to the fountain in the Island Centre, Shiloh sat, bored and silent as his Seadra swam happily in the waters. What was he to do? He had no class for the rest of the day, and he did enough wood block training. Sighing, he got up and walked to the Training Grounds.
There he saw Nikola doing whatever Sleepy will say in the next post, and an idea came across him mind. What better way to train than versing a frighteningly giant screeching centipede? He couldn't think of one! (Well, not counting 2 giant screeching centipedes)
He started walking over.

Nikola was crouching next to Cuddles, praising it as it curled around something. Upon closer inspection, you could see that it was a large collection of jagged pebbles. Upon further investigation you could see that all of the fields that had large boulders for Pokemon to attack were seemingly missing.

"Good Cuddles! You're so strong now!" Nikola said with a voice that a mother would use to praise their toddler for learning how to use the toilet. She looked up from the Scolipede to see Shiloh.

"Oh, hey Shiloh!" she greeted cheerily, standing upright.

"Hello Nikola!" he said in a warm voice. "Hello...erm...Cuddles."
The last part sounded a bit awkward, and he braced himself for an answer. He held his Seadra in his arms, which was blowing bubbles obliviously.

Cuddles put its head up lazily and focused on Shiloh when the Dragon trainer greeted her.

For a couple of moments it was silent.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"Cuddles says hello!"

The bubble Seadra was in the middle of blowing popped as the screech sounded. Angered and startled, the seahorse started blowing bubbles at the Scolipede.
Shiloh covered the Pokemon's mouse hole thing. "Sorry about that. Anyhow, I just wanted to know if you would like to erm...battle? Yoooou know, since it would be a nice training exercise, and it would let us see how it is like to battle people outside of our classes, and because my Pokemon need the training, and because Seadra blows too many bubbles, and because--"
Shiloh stopped rambling, clearing his throat. "Sorry." he said again quietly.

"Sure thing!" Nikola replied, reaching into her pocket. "How many Pokemon do you have?" she asked, and she pulled her hand in front of her face to reveal five Pokeballs in their shrunken forms in between her fingers. Cuddles stood to attention at her full height at 8' 2", towering over her trainer. A full team of six.

"Erm...only three." said Shiloh awkwardly, pulling the collar of his shirt with one hand and keeping Seadra from falling with the other. He then pulled two Pokeballs from his belt, leaving Seadra's.

"Alright then!" Nikola said, plucking two of the Pokeballs out of her hand and dropping them back into her pocket. She gripped the two remaining Pokeballs tightly. Cuddles swept all of the jagged rocks away with one sweep of her tail and Nikola started going towards the other side of the field. "Send out your first Pokemon!~" she called over her shoulder.

Shiloh quickly darted to the other side, away from the destructive centipede of death. "Alright then! Go, Flygon!"
The Pokemon appeared, roaring out a very high pitched, but still loud call. It flapped it's wings, sending up a gust.

Cuddles however, didn't turn and followed her master to the other side. Nikola picked up a Pokeball, which engulfed the Scolipede in a glaring red light.

"Go, Sandy!"

An Armaldo suddenly took the field on the other side after a bright white light, stomping around on the dirt. It didn't waste any time in attacking.

"Iron Tail!"

Armaldo swung around, the edge of its strange tail colliding with the Mystic Pokemon.

Flygon was hit, wincing and being knocked back a little. Shiloh frowned. It was just the first hit. he told himself, before pointing at the Armaldo. "Flygon! Fly!"
Flygon suddenly took off, flying upwards higher and higher, until you couldn't see it anymore in the white clouds.

The steel-like prehistoric Pokemon looked around for its foe before looking up at the sky.

"Rock Slide!"

Sandy grabbed one of the mostly untouched boulders from Cuddles' collection and hurled it up in the air, but it missed and flew back down, landing to the side of the field and shattering into a bunch of little pieces. Nikola frowned a bit. Even if it had hit, she doubted that it would have done much damage.

"Alright then! Get ready to hit it with another Iron Tail when it comes down!"

The Armaldo braced itself, looking up at the sky, its armored tail swinging side to side in anticipation.

And, in what seemed to be a Team Rocket style twinkle, Flygon shot down from the sky, landing on the Armaldo in a sort of sky kick, and bouncing off it's face, dealing 42 damage.

The Armaldo stumbled backwards, but remembering its trainers orders spun around and caught the Flygon with another swing of its tail, the momentum of the hit spinning it around so it faced Flygon again, crouching down slighting with its two claws clicking together.

Sandy: 128/170

"Grab it's tail." said Shiloh quickly. The Flygon caught the tail in it's mouth as it slapped across her face, clamping it's teeth down on it. Shiloh smiled.
"Flamethrower."
With the Armaldo unable to run, flames erupted from Flygon's mouth and scorched the Pokemon, dealing 44 damage and releasing the tail. Shiloh still had to get Flygon to dodge an attack, though. They were going to lose at this rate.

Armaldo spun around, its armor the only thing keeping the Pokemon inside from getting scorched, and brought its two claws together onto the Flygon's slender neck in an X-Scissor attack without even waiting for orders by Nikola.

Direct hit. God dammit! The trainer thought, wincing and thinking about how to get himself out of this situation
"Earthquake!" Shiloh yelled. The Pokemon complied, dealing 46 damage.

Flygon
40/170

Sandy held its ground as the field quaked from the Flygon's attack. Nikola bit her lip. It'd take at least two more X-Scissors to take the Pokemon down, but Sandy wouldn't be able to take another attack. She closed her eyes and accepted that Sandy wouldn't be the one to take this Flygon out.

"X-Scissor!"

Sandy's two claws extracted and it hooked Flygon with one of its claws and then bashed it across the head with the other, gripping onto the Pokemon tightly and not letting go, bringing its claw back again for a final bash.

Flygon was on it's last leg. Wincing, it trembled under the weight of it's wounds. Sorren saw Armaldo was weak too. Better make this count...
"Earthquake!" shouted Sorren. Flygon felt like collapsing, and that was what she did, exerting pressure into the ground. It did 46 damage to Armaldo. A KO.
Sorren returned Flygon. "I withdraw my Pokemon from this battle. There is no need for it to continue." He murmured. 2v2.

Sandy had released its grip on Flygon when the Earthquake hit, making the Pokemon fall to the ground unconscious,

Nikola nodded and had the Armaldo return before grabbing her next Pokeball.

"Go! Allie!"

The Pokeball bounced on the field once before opening and unleashing a brilliant white light. A Heracross buzzed around when it cleared, fists clenched as the Pokeball closed itself and bounced back to Nikola's open hand.

Heracross, eh? Shiloh grimaced. It was bug and fighting. He wished Flygon wasn't incredibly weak right now.
"Seadra. Can you battle?" he asked, looking down on the Pokemon in his arms. Seadra nodded, and Shiloh threw him onto the battle field.
A lot of water Pokemon have the ability to levitate when on a battle field, yet it can seem really awkward and a lot of people do not prefer it. Nevertheless, Seadra didn't seem to mind. IT floated around it circles, pumped.
"Focus, Seadra! Toxic!"
Something in the Pokemon switched on, and suddenly it made an extremely menacing "Seeeea...." and spit a gunk of vile poison onto the Heracross.

Nikola smiled oddly as her Heracross mainly ignored the purple gunk from the Toxic.

Nikola's smile grew until it burst into a giggly, manic laugh.

"Allie! Megahorn!~" Nikola called, her voice the only thing breaking up the laugh.

The Heracross jumped up into the air and its wings appeared. It buzzed at the Seadra at a fast speed, striking the Seadra with its horn in a devastating attack.

"When Allie's sick with something, her attack doubles!" Nikola explained in a cheery tone, her laugh subsiding. But it was clear to see that the poison damage was getting at Allie through her armor.

You are kidding me...
Was everyone on the island an insane battler?
And like that, Shiloh's odds of winning went down. He had to make sure to dodge the next attack if he wanted to inflict a lot of damage.
"Dragon Dance, my friend." Shiloh called to his injured Seadra.
The Seadra suddenly started floating around in a barrage of twists and dances and jives, glowing with a silvery aura. When it was done, the Pokemon looked angry and intimidating as fuck. It's Speed and Attack rose by one stage.

"Alright Allie! Brick Break!" Nikola ordered.

Now up close to the Seadra, the Heracross speedily flew up to the Water type once again, hand halfway through a chopping motion.

Allie: 128/170

The Seadra, overcome by a Speed boost, dodged the attack. Shiloh's world seemed to be going in slow motion as the Heracross was right next to the Seadra. He had to get it as weak as he could for Dragonite. "Bounce!"
Seadra took a big leap, and disappeared into the sky. Shiloh remembered the old tutor in Unova that taught his Seadra this move when it first evolved.
