The Fourth Pierce

"Go on, Liepard." said a smiling young man as he exited the boat. It was a Pokemon League vessel, with the insignia (ourfavicon) stamped on the side.
His cat-like Pokemon meowed in response, and walked off in some random direction. It had an incredible sense of smell and knew it's trainer's scent, so it would have no trouble navigating back to him. Running a hand through his blue hair, he looked around. "Wow. What a place. I wonder how the folks payed for this..."

Nikola had instinctively began to run when she had heard a boat had docked. Cuddles was matching stride easily. She only began to slow down when she saw blue hair and how tall the boy was. Surely this wasn't a student?

She got closer when she recognized him. It had been so long... What was he doing here? But a big smile spread on her face.

"Arie!"

It had been long since he was called that. Surely, he recognized that voice. He turned to the source, smiling widely. "Nikola!" he exclaimed. She was nine the last time he had seen her. She'd be 14. He opened his arms, ready for a hug from the girl that was far away and didn't have a bag of necessities I forgot to mention that would prevent him from going over to hug her shut up Sleepy I can hear you I am the walls.

Nikola embraced him in a tight hug, getting pretty much lifted off the ground because shut up I said so. "Where have you been?!" she asked, the cheeriness in her voice shining through. Cuddles didn't seem to be too fond of the hug and unleashed a very lovely welcome greeting.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

The Scolipede was already eight feet tall and towering over both of them, but when it stood up on its two hind legs it cast the two in a shade. Nikola didn't seem to care.

"Erm...Kansai." said Arlen, embracing his sister. He was momentarily startled by the noise, and after hugging Nikola, ran a hand up Cuddles' snout. "Cuddles! Last time I saw you, you were just a Venipede!" he exclaimed.

Cuddles didn't seem to recognize Arlen. Or maybe she did, but she didn't really show much affection anyways, only going on all fours. Cuddles had more legs, but those were the four main legs that Scolipedes used.

"She's certainly grown, hasn't she?" Nikola said, looking up at her Pokemon momentarily before looking at her big brother. She could hardly believe it! "Mom and dad will be so happy to see you!"

At the sound of his parents, Arlen's eyes lost a little of their glint. "Yeah...they will." he said, as a cat Pokemon started to pad to them. It had a canned beverage in it's mouth, and as Arlen opened his hand, dropped it in his palm.
"Good girl, Liepard." he said, petting it. It purred, stretching.

It went right over Nikola's head. She grabbed his hand and began to run in the direction of her home, practically pulling him. "Come on! Let's go there right now! You've gotta tell me about where you've been!" she said excitedly, not looking back at him.

"H-hey!" Arlen shouted, practically being dragged and almost dropping his absolutely-bought-and-not-stolen drink. Liepard ran after, meowing disapproval of the sudden traveling of the group. Arlen didn't want to seem rude, so he let himself continue to be brought to the house. He had to eventually.

Nikola seemed to talk at a million miles per hour, informing Arlen of all the things that happened from his sudden disappearance until that day. They arrived at the house sooner than she realized.

"...and Mr. Pryce still doesn't know that Julie--" she stopped when she realized that they were at the door. "Oh! Welcome home, Arie!" she pushed the door open, and the smell of something lovely cooking wafted out, followed by a crashing sound and the familiar voice of Tesla swearing loudly. She began to walk in, releasing her death grip on Arie's hand. Cuddles pushed at Arlen's back, trying to get inside too.

Arlen gulped at the sound of his mother's cussing. If only he could run.
No. He had to. He couldn't abandon Nikola again, and the Pokemon League needed him to revoke his mother of her position. He inhaled deeply, and walked after Nikola.

"Moooooom! Daaaaaaaaaad!" Nikola called, standing beside a coat rack that held a white and black sunhat.

Tesla walked out, plate in hand. Some cookies were on the plate. They seemed to be a bit burnt and being Mrs. Pierce, most likely dropped too. But they were some lovely cookies nonetheless. "Nikola, dear, I made some--" she stopped in her tracks, her green eyes glaring intensely at Arlen. The plate in her hand shook violently and it was a miracle the cookies didn't fly off. "Where the hell have you been?" her voice was level but icy.

Arlen smiled awkwardly. "Hey...mom." he said, dodging the question. Liepard stodd behind him, oblivious to the situation and nudging Arie's hand with it's head, wanting to be pet. The nerve of dem humans. >:c

Nikola opened her mouth to speak, a concerned look on her face when Tesla closed her eyes. the plate still shaking violently in her hand. "Nikola, go outside and play with Cuddles."

"But mom--" Nikola began to protest, but her mother cut her off.

"GO!"

Nikola's face gained a hurt expression, and she looked to Arie before slowly turning and running outside. Tesla's eyes opened again when her daughter left and she began to approach her son, plate in hand and the cookies sliding off and landing on the floor. "Hello?! HELLO?! Do you think that you can just LEAVE without a word for five years and then just SHOW UP and say HELLO?!" her voice was shaky and tears streamed down her face, but her eyes were full of anger. "We haven't heard from you in...!" at close distance now, she threw the plate at him.

The plate shattered against his stomach. The Liepard growled, and Arlen grabbed at his stomach, petting the Pokemon with his other hand. His head hung low, having nothing to answer with. Nevertheless, his mother threw a plate at him, and therefore his resentment to hurting her feelings had left him.
He cleared his throat, raising his head. "Miss Tesla Pierce. I had come to inform you that your title as Champion of the Kansai Region Pokemon League has been confiscated due to inability of your of accepting challengers at the Pokemon League headquarters at Kansai. The League sends it's condolences." he said in somewhat of a monotonous murmur. Pierce was somewhere completely different because I don't feel like roleplaying two people lul.

Tesla was silent for a couple of moments, turning away.

"What."

You could say it escalated rather quickly.

"What?"

Her hands clenched tightly together. She turned around and the look on her face made it seem like she was going to hurt her son even more, but she walked past him and grabbed her hat off the rack. She fit it on her head and grabbed a belt. It was an old fashioned belt for carrying Pokeballs. Six red and white devices hung in there smaller carrying forms. She began to buckle the belt around her waist.

"And who might the new Champion be?" she asked, not looking at Arlen. The phrase was being said through grit teeth.

Arlen made eye contact for the first time during this confrontation. "I did a lot in the last five years, mother." he murmured. He put his hand on his belt, a newer version. It was black with a certain logo. 6 Pokeballs too were on it, one inflated due to it's Pokemon being out.

"Get out." Tesla said simply. "I don't ever want to see your face on this island again. Go back to Kansai and cherish your last precious days as Kansai's Champion, Arlen." she whipped around, a Pokeball inflating to the full size in her hand. "Because I'm going to tear the League down if it's the last thing I do! Now GET OUT!" she screamed.

Arlen seemed taken aback, hurt flashing in his eyes. Though, he smiled weakly. "It's been nice talking to you, mom..." he muttered, and turned around, walking out. His Liepard growled at Tesla, but Arlen whistled. The cat Pokemon's ears perked, and it followed it's trainer out.
He couldn't exactly leave. The next boat available that was passung through would not come for another week; a cargo boat going to Hoenn. He needed a place to stay. Maybe hus sister knew of one...
