Battling is hard. :(

"Oran! Let's do this!" called Shiloh, throwing his Pokeball. It suddenly bounced back on a burst of white light, and the Dragonair appeared, ready for battle. "Droooouuuuuuuu!" it called.

"Jellicent, destroy him!" Diana cried, throwing her Pokeball as well. The pink Pokemon appeared soon after, settling herself in the water. She looked Dragonair down, ready to . . . destroy him. Diana shot a challenging gaze at her opponent.

What a change in attitude! Shiloh thought this was going to just be a nice battle. He guessed he was wrong.
"Dragonair, my friend! Use Dragon Pulse!"
The Pokemon fired the attack, dealing 40 damage.

Jellicent recoiled, looking stung at the attack. She opened her eyes and refocused whenever her owner called, "Jellicent! Steel yourself." Diana's voice was smooth, calm . . . a bit eerie. "Will-o-wisp," Diana said, and Jellicent complied. A sinister light emerged from the Pokemon, and black fire struck at Dragonair in an attempt to burn it.

"Underwater!" Shiloh commanded in an attempt to dodge the burn. True, Dragonair dove, but it was too long to dodge the fire. It hit it's tail, and the burn caused 10 HP of damage.
"Slam!" commanded the trainer, and the Pokemon leapt out of the water, quite gracefully too, and slammed it's burnt tail at the jellyfish

"Water Spout, my sweet," cooed Diana, giving a fiendish, catlike glare to Shiloh. Her eyes were narrowed and her mouth was curled. Friendly battle? Like hell. The very phrase was an oxymoron. Jellicent aimed at Dragonair and fired, a magnificent jet of water rushing at the Pokemon, in an attempt to deal 76 damage.

OOC: It would be 46 damage. Water attacks are not very effective to Dragon type Pokemon.
Plus, you should have 80 damage deducted, from Slam and Dragon Pulse, equaling 87 HP. Sorry, my battle system is pretty complicated. D|

It was a hit. Dragonair took a pretty good amount of damage, but it was able to bounce back. "Slam once more! You can do it!" said Shiloh. The Dragonair brought it's tail up once more, attempting to deal 40 more damage.

ooc: Oh, right! Totally forgot about Dragon-types. --- and I was unaware that you did Slam, you sneaky ninja editer you. >:I

The Slam hit excellently, and Jellicent nearly fainted on the spot. She fought through it, and was relieved at her trainer's next command. "Recover, Jellicent!"

Shiloh frowned. He'd run out of HP if he didn't use his move. "Dragonair! Thunder Bolt!"
The dragon seemed to nod, and out of the orb in it's head, electricity zapped, too fast to dodge.
Due to it being super effective, it did a whopping 94 damage, canceling out the Recover, and then some.

"Damn it," muttered Diana under her breath. She wish she hadn't "livened up" the rules when letting Shiloh pick his opponent . . . now it just seems foolish. Froslass would have been a much better opponent against Dragon-types, rather than the Water type Jellicent. And now she was looking like a fool. Instead of another Recover, Diana demanded, "Water Spout! Try again!"

Dragonair was pretty banged up by that last attack. 8 HP. It could barely swim.
"You can do it, Dragonair! Thunderbolt!" Shiloh called, pointing at the Jellicent for emphasis. Dragonair generated a bolt, and aimed it at Jellicent with the last of it's energy.

Jellicent fainted on impact, and Diana returned her to her Pokeball immediately afterward. She crossed her arms. She was certain she was going to win, and now . . . she lost to this, this amateur! Maybe she would sneak into his room tonight and see if he had anything valuable. She smirked at the idea, but the boy didn't look like someone with money. It was always worth a shot . . .

"Good job," She said, her expression unreadable. Her voice hinted playfulness, but her eyes said otherwise. "I expected less. You really showed me," She showed her teeth with a venomous smile.

Shiloh sensed the spite within the girl, and it made him uneasy. Her eyes bore down on him, but he managed to say. "Thank you. It was a close match..."

OOC: I have an interesting topic idea now...
What if she did sneak into his room and kidnap one of his Pokemon? Idk. <u>

"Right," Diana looked to Shiloh, and then to Nikola. "I'll be seeing you." And, almost in a blur, she disappeared from the room, hair swooshing back and forth.

"Bye! See ya around!" Nikola said, oblivious to the uneasy atmosphere of the classroom. She turned to Shiloh with a smile. "You did really great, Shiloh! That was an exciting match!"

"Thank you. It was close, though." repeated Shiloh with a half-hearted smile. Dragonair gained a lot of experience during that match. But still, his opponent made him uneasy.
